A note from the Golfers

 The Golf Section has again enjoyed a successful weekend away this time back to picturesque Nelson Bay.

 With over 30 people getting together we enjoyed glorious weather whilst Sydney was experiencing severe thunder storms.

 The golf was played in great spirits while the entertainment was up to the usual high standards.

 Regular golf commences on 3 April at Northbridge see details on the Sports Room Notice Board.

 The next weekend away in September is fast becoming finalised so watch out for details.

WPH / Cherrybrook Cricket Club

Eight of the ten teams reached the semi-finals but with the second weekend a wash-out only two progressed to the final.

C₁ and C₂ both progressed and both were premiers.

It is with much pleasure that I write this information on behalf of the West Pennant Hills Sports Club Men's Bowling Section.  

Our 2010 Championship Year has been completed and all results are listed below.  Our Presentation to our Champions luncheon was held on Sunday December 12th at the Club.  Our Chairman, Richard Hickey and Deputy Chairman Bill Austin were on hand to present two major trophies on the day.

I congratulate all winners and runners up for their efforts of achievement in 2010.  To all participants I say well done.  There was keen competition in all events.

The Men's Bowling Section holds social bowls for members on Wednesday, Fridays and Saturday afternoons.  During daylight saving we also conduct social twilight bowls on Thursday evenings from 5pm.  For a small charge of $5 you can try your skills at lawn bowls and also receive tuition on the game.  It's a great was to be introduced to the game and lots of fun also. (Soft flat footware required)

Ladies' day is every Tuesday and Mixed Bowls on Sundays, although as new lady members join us we will be allocating rinks for ladies to use on Saturdays also.  Membership to both sections is available at all times.

On behalf of the Men's Bowling Section, I would like to wish all Club members a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in 2011.
