About the Club
The West Pennant Hills Sports Club exists to provide sporting and social amenities for its members and their guests.
In doing so the Club encourages, fosters and promotes a large range of sports within the local community and districts.
The Club was founded in December 1967 as the West Pennant Hills Bowling & Recreation Club Limited. The Club originated initially from the failed Hills Club Limited venture founded in 1964 and was finally incorporated as a licensed venue in March 1971. The Club was to be a Sporting & Recreational base for the local community.
An initial 270 members purchased five acres of land in what was then known as the West Pennant Hills Valley.
The members voted to change the name of the Club to West Pennant Hills Sports Club in August 1997 to better reflect the interests of the Club and the local community.
